In addition to offering private appointments, I also work out of the Serenity Birth Studio & Baby Shop, owned by "mom"preneur Allison Allin. Located in northeast Barrie, Serenity offers a variety of programs and services to support your journey through pregnancy, birth, postpartum and early-years parenting. The Baby Shop is stocked with carefully selected products for a happy and healthy mom, baby and toddler, and is open for in-person shopping 6 days per week and online 24/7!

CAR SEAT SERVICES at Serenity Birth Studio:

Installation & Education Session (all ages)

During this 1 hour appointment, we work together to ensure that your car seat is installed correctly and you'll learn how to properly fit your child and make adjustments as they grow. We'll also discuss the features and functions of your car seat and review a list of safety topics and best practice recommendations. ***For a pre-natal check appointment, I'll use a newborn-sized doll to demonstrate proper harnessing and you'll visit me after baby arrives (at no extra charge) for a more thorough fit check.

To prepare for the appointment, please read the car seat manual in full. This will help enhance your learning experience! 

***If you have 2 car seats/vehicles to check, please book the latest time slot available on any given day OR message me to set up a private appointment at my location (this is the preferred option for 2 or more car seats/vehicles).

COST:

• $30 for one car seat/vehicle. For infant seats, please add $10 for the inspection/installation of an extra base in a 2nd vehicle.

• $20 for each additional car seat in the same or different vehicle 

• $20 per seat for repeat clients (ie: upgrading from infant seat to convertible, installing a car seat in another vehicle or transitioning from rear-facing to forward-facing).

Infant Fit Check Drop-In 

Wednesdays 11-5 & Thursdays 9:30-2:00 (subject to change - call ahead to confirm)

Bring your baby in their infant bucket seat for a harness fit check, ask questions, learn some valuable safety tips and when to transition to a convertible car seat, including recommendations for seats that are best suited for your child's age/size, vehicle and budget.

Car Seat Safety Workshop 

Learn everything there is to know about car seat safety for children of all ages (birth to booster)! 

Topics include: installation tips & techniques, harness & seatbelt fit, car seat/booster features, best practice recommendations and more. Participants receive: a FREE installation check appointment scheduled at a later date, a coupon for 15% off a Baby Shop purchase AND a "Refer A Friend" voucher for $10 off a Car Seat Installation Check & Education Session".

COST: $10 per person or couple
