• Inspection of car seat installation OR guided step-by-step installation with parent participation
• Harness fit check with child in seat OR harness demonstration with newborn-sized doll
• Tutorial on proper use of car seat and review of general safety information/best practice recommendations

Appointment duration is 1 hour & can be conducted privately at my location or at Serenity Birth Studio. To prepare for the appointment, please read the car seat manual in full, bring it with you and attempt the installation to the best of your ability. 

$30 for one car seat (any type)

+ $10 for an extra infant car seat base in another vehicle

+ $20 for each additional car seat (any type) in the same or different vehicle  

(if there are older children also in the vehicle, it is highly recommended to check their seats and fit as well, to ensure the overall safety of everyone)

Repeat clients: $20 per car seat

All of the following will be covered:

• Ensure the highback or backless booster seat is set up correctly in the vehicle
• Assessment of child's seatbelt fit with booster and/or "5 Step Test" check without booster (8 years+ only)
• Tutorial on proper use of booster seat & review of general safety information/best practice recommendations

Appointment duration is appx. 30 minutes & is conducted privately at my location only. To prepare for the appointment, please read the booster manual in full.

$15 for one child

+ $10 for each additional child

All of the following will be covered:

• Harness position for rear-facing or forward-facing
• Crotch buckle position
• How to do the "pinch test"
• How to use head & body supports & when to remove them (if applicable)
• How & when to make adjustments as the child grows
• When the harness is outgrown & when to transition to the next stage 

Appointment duration is appx. 30 minutes.

 Please read the car seat manual in full prior to the appointment and bring it with you. Car seat should be installed and installation checked previously.

If you need to purchase new car seats, get expert and stress-free assistance right in store! We will discuss the options and test fit the seats in your vehicle before purchasing to ensure the seat(s) fit and install properly in all modes of use (RF/FF/booster) and work together safely as a whole, including with any other backseat passengers.

Meet at my location to work with your existing car seats to determine if a safe installation and configuration is possible (ie: 3 across). We will work together to make sure your car seats will work for you now and as your children grow and transition to different stages of safety. Taking out and re-installing your current seats in different seating positions within your vehicle is often necessary to determine a safe set-up.

$25 for one car seat

$15 for each additional car seat 

***Note: there is NO CHARGE if I simply take a brief look inside your vehicle to assess the space and give my *best educated guess* on what may or may not work.
